longer term medical users - getting the pleasant side effects?

    after prolonged periods of heavy use predominantly for medical reasons, i came to phases where smoking considerable quantities of even powerfull strains gave very little "high" or "stone", yet i still got the medical benifits, and so, of course, kept using it.

    i was wondering if anyone else experiences this.
    where cannabis not only is not being used recreationally, but also has no recreational effect.
