Long term storage

    What is your favorite method?

    I have read boveda humidity packs into jars for long term storage or even during the curing process seems to be the favorite thing to do.

    I also read vacuum sealing would be a good option. I have a food saver and could get jars for vacuum sealing if that is so much better.

    What do you guys/girls think?

    Cure in jars with 62% Boveda packs.
    Vacuum sealing stops all curing and is less then ideal storage IME.

    If you want to vacuum do it after a 60 day cure for best results.

    Thanks you, makes a lot of sense. I ordered the 58%, should still work pretty good, right?

    Yes. 58 is still in the "Zone" and a bit more smokable right from the jar.

    Thank you ill try them and also keep some jars without to see if I can tell a difference.

    Yep, jars with 62% Boveda's....
