Long car journeys stoned.

    So i have this long car journey coming up with my family (mum dad and younger sister). We live in the UK and are going to visit more family down in the south of France. Trouble is were driving there and these long car journeys really bore me and i thought being high for the journey with some music going might make it more bearable. That way i can just chill, eat and get lost in the music (I should point out im not the one driving). However, were going to on the ferry from south of England to north of france. It's about a three hour journey from where i live to the ferry port and i was wondering if i ate one brownie just before we leave will the ferry people and border control be able to tell. I'm not taking any weed with me, just eating before we leave so it's not like i'm actually taking drugs with me. But will i be alright to manage that and everything or will they have dogs that can smell it or something. Also, will the red eye give me away and stop me from being able to board the ferry and how long do you reckon the high will last.

    I think it's a good idea. I always enjoy being stoned in a moving vehicle with some great music playing with the windows down. You should be used to the high after about 30 minutes and therefore be able to handle yourself and actions within an hour after the brownie kicks in.

    Red eyes? Just put in some eyedrops and you'll be fine :D

    Also I don't think the dogs would detect a brownie, and they wouldn't even use dogs unless they were suspicious that you were smuggling drugs or something... So if your parents don't notice that you're high, you'll be fine (Meaning if you dont reek to the point where the whole car reeks, which you won't because its just a brownie)

    I've never seen a dog at a ferry port. And usually you just drive up to a booth, driver hands over passports and tickets then you drive on the ferry. You don't get checked or anything.

    I was being overly cautious with the dog statement it seems. Although i don't know if the red eye would make passport control suspicious or anything, seeing as its going to be difficult to use eye drops without my family getting suspicious seeing as i'll be with them the whole journey. Although if the weathers good and i can get away with sunglasses then that could hide it.
     
    Also does anyone have a suggestion as to how much to eat, only it'll probably be my first time with edibles unless i happen to get time before hand. I wanna be stoned for the car journey but be able to walk onto the ferry and simple stuff like that without arousing suspicion (I.e i can't be stumbling into the walls. Need to walk straight)

    I did it once travelling within the UK, it was so chill although I didn't make the firecracker strong enough :/

    get rohto greens and put them in while eating the brownie your eyes will be crystal clear

    The only people that will notice will be your parents, but if your ok with that... Knock yourself out.  Also there is no reliable way to know if you can successfully walk around until you get out of the car.  Lol. dosing on edibles can be very tricky indeed.

    I realllyyy wouldn't recommend it if it's your first edible experience. The high could be really intense depending on the potency of the brownies. I'm usually very chilled and normal while high but my first time with edibles made me act crazy. If you really want some of the drive to be less boring, I would say smoke a ton in your room right before you leave and put in eye drops/ cologne. This will get you through the first part of the drive and make you sleep easily for the other part.

    How about if i try edibles once before the journey. I have about 2 weeks until it happens and i figure that seeing as the leftovers will most likely go to waste (i cant take it with me and i'll be gone for 2 weeks so chances are they won't be suitable to eat when i return) i could try it once before hand, probbably a few days before we go?

    I do it all the time, my eyes dont really turn red. The only downfall for me as that sometimes the journey seems way longer lol

    Don't mind the journey seeming long. Just means more time to listen to my music which i enjoy anyway on these long journeys. The weed is just a bonus.

    I drove to france last year same way as OP. It was P&O ferries. Just bring some weed with you OP, There was actually no searches, metal detectors or scans whatsoever when I went. You just drive on to the ferry in the UK, chill upstairs in the lounge for 2 hours then u get back in ur car and drive off in france. Absolutely nothing to worry about

    I've never taken eye drops since I don't care if they are red but I have found when I smoke they don't anyway but when I use edibles they do get very red. It will be sunny enough for sun glasses I reckon.

    I LOVE road trips. When I'm bored (extremely bored) I'll grab my pipe, some weed, some CDs, and a bottle of water, then just drive in whatever direction I choose; jamming to my music and getting extremely stoned along the way haha. Usually these mini trips just take me a few miles out into the countryside and back home in the same day; but it gets really fun when you're road-tripping for days, so I'm sure it'll be awesome man, even if you're with the fam!
    But yeah; I'd say eat two brownies; nobodys ever gonna notice haha; i mean, unless you can't handle yourself stoned, then I don't know what to tell ya

    right, sounds like a good idea. It will certainly stop any boredom that might come from a regular road trip. The only problem i have now is finding time to make the brownies. My house has people coming and going all the time an my sisters just finished school for the summer so she'll be at home more. I have to make them within the next couple of weeks at some point when my parents and sister are out.

    Lol well if you do end up making the brownies either make them the right way with cannaoil or just make firecrackers.
