Im buying a rottweiler to stake in front of my house. I have owned dogs before. I am a responsible owner. And quite honestly i love dogs. They are so fun. But im not in love with dogs. My friend and his girlfriend are sitting there freaking out talking about "chaining a dog outside causes agression" wtf? So if i leave my dog outside in a fenced yard that doesn't cause aggression? If i put my dog in a cage all day that won't cause aggression. But when i give my dog full run of my huge yard hes just tied to a pully THAT WILL MAKE HIM FUCKIN VICIOUS. And apparently i have to let my dog sleep inside. Hes part of the family. Lolwut? I stay in a 2 room guest house. Dogs fucking stink. When it snows or rains yea ill put him in the garage. But im not gonna have a stinky ass dog rolling all on my carpet. On my couch. Getting dog hair in my clothes. Like gross. Dofs arent humans. And in my opinion they dont need to be treated like humans. I run my dogs twice a day. Feed them right. Train them. And spend a few hours a day just kickin it. Thats all a dog needs. Not to come live in your house and be your kid. Fuckin weirdos
My dog chills at the crib. What's the point of having a pet if ur hardly gonna get to know it. U hang out with a dog a couple times a week. He looks at u like a friend. Not a owner. At least IMO.
If you are going to keep him outside then play with him everyday and don't neglect him (not saying you will AT ALL, but lots of people do this thinking that just because the dog is outside that it will get plenty of exercise by itself). I don't see a problem with keeping him outside. Dogs are probably better off outside, makes sense right? I think your friends probably pamper their dogs too much and don't look at them as ... DOGS. It really pisses me off though because I have a friend and his family has a dog that they literally keep inside of a room at all times of the day with no interaction what-so-ever (it's like a 4' x 6' room) and only let her out at night to run around for a like 10 minutes. They don't play with the dog or anything. So WTF is the point of having a dog then? It's incredibly stupid. I don't think people like that deserve to keep an animal in their house if they will just neglect it and then get angry that it barks during the day (well no shit it barks, so would you if you were locked up all fucking day)...
i treat my dog like family, i let him sleep in my bed too....whats the point of having a pet, if your not going to give them the attention they need?
Depends on the dog. I would hate to have a big dog living inside my house rubbing its ass all over the carpet. I have a beagle and that little fucker wouldn't last 1 hour outside by himself so he lives inside. You would hardly notice though because we still have nice looking carpet and furniture that doesn't smell like dog ass. If I had a guard dog for more protection he would be living outside for the most part. Luckily I don't live in an area that warrants that..
if you're getting a dog just to have a dog, then I say: you sir, are a heartless bastard. dogs should be treated with love, and if you're not going to, then let someone else. end of story.
Of coars I respect your opinion but im a lover and if I had a dog it would be with me allllll the time. Ny dog bella was my best friend for 8 years untill we moved and couldnt take her because my brothers girlfriend didnt want to her. So they got a fucking cat and abandoned my dog. Now him and her broke up and he has to get rid of the cat. And he is torn up. I love my brother to death but all I can say is he didnt care when it was my dog that I grew up with. But his fuckin cat hes had for a year is having a much bigger affect on him. Peace and Love
If you think outside is the best place for your dog then why are you getting so worked up and defensive over someone else's opinion? I have three dogs that live inside and when someone tells me dogs aren't family and they should go outside I just brush it off, MY house, MY dogs that are a part of MY family,MY rules. Theres a family near me with a rottie. The dog is outside all day everyday by itself because they are too lazy to do anything with it. He's a big friendly goof ball of a dog but because he a rottie, most people automatically assume him to be vicious. Doesnt help that the little punk who live there puts those big spiked collars on him "because it looks gangster". One day the dog got loose and wanted to play with some neighborhood kids who were out there. Needless to say most people freaked out and the cops got called. I was home that day and when I called him, the dog came right over to me all excited to play....which everyone mistook for agression. When the cops came they thought he was mine and tried to chew me out till I explained what happened. Turned out that one of the cops owned several pits so he understood what I was explaining. The family got off with a warning but more importantly the dog didnt get taken by animal control or worse...put down. If all you're gonna do is post thst dog in the yard and leave it by itself as a sign of machismo (and I'm not saying you will) then do the dog a favor and let someone who'll actually love him purchase him. Rotties are very affectionate and really want to be around their family members.
I got me a chihuahua that lives inside and she's mean as hell. One time she bit my nipple and hung on to it until the bitch got tired.
