Living in the Iraq.

  1. First of all, i would like to start out how happy i am for finding such a mature and helpfull community. I got asked if i would talk about how it is living in Iraq, since i've noticed most of you live in the US.. No offence, but your media is pretty shitty.. I heard about that shit station that you call Fox news.. Jesus christ.
But any who, let me start out with some background story about me.. I was born and raised in Denmark(Explains my good english), I lived the normal life, drinking and partying in the weekends, smoking hash with my boys when the opportunity came. Had a sweet girlfriend i was about 17 years old at that time. My exgirlfriend gave me the choice between Weed, and pussy.. And as much as loved dat pussy, i couldn't resist getting high.. Tbh i really loved her, so when she left me i was really hurt (TOOK IT LIKE A BITCH :D).. I started smoking so much hash like 8-10 joints a day.. Sometimes even more, i didn't talk to anyone i was just sitting at home skipping school and getting high. My parents didn't like me smoking weed, so they asked me if i wanted to leave Denmark for a while, and go see my family at Iraq.. At that time i didn't how it was over there, i was afraid of getting kidnapped and shit. I was afraid that as soon as i land, i would be in the middle of a fucking jungle, with muslims killing the shit outta each other, and blowing their self up so they can get 70 virgins in paradise. But i was quite wrong, my cousins picked me up from the airport, and they were very peacefull people, i'm not saying that the country is paradise, but even though they didn't live in luxury, they were happy!
I like setting it up this way, 10% of the people are fucking rich, most of them work in the goverment, and Iraq being one of the most corrupt countrys in the world, they make a whole lotta money in dat shit. 30% of the people are as we consider them middle class, they got a nice car lovely home. The last 60% is just straight out poor. Unfortunatly my whole family is poor, they don't have a nice home they live in a very filthy neighborhood, with trash, and used diapers all over the place. With that said, let's move on to the terrorism part.. the first trip i went there was for like 4 months.. NO EXPLOSIONS, i know this sounds weird but i was expecting some call of duty shit.. so i was pretty disappointed. at this moment i've lived here for 5 months, and i'm actually enjoying myself, all i need is some weed and i would be perfect. I got a nice job as an Iphone software and hardware specialist, what i get paid is nothing compared to what i would make in Denmark, but everything is so cheap here so i don't need that big fat salury, i got a nice car, and a nice home so i actually enjoy being here more than being in Denmark. I don't wanna bore the shit outta you guys so im just going to stop right here :D

If you're curios about anything feel free to ask.
    And thanks for reading.

  5. There is no kush :(
that's why i'm going to grow some on my roof :D

  6. There's a solution for everything :p

  7. Thanks for sharing. I don't know what to ask, so anything you can tell me about what it's like over there would be very interesting. Whats the government like? Is it hard to get anything done as far as the average daily routine? Do the poor people have running water? Indoor plumbing? Do their toilets flush? Do they have toilets? What do they do for income? Are they mostly farmers? Goat herders? Did you have to adjust to the food? What do you miss the most? What's transportation like? Easily available? Not needed much? Etc, Etc, Etc.....

  8. Well, the government is shit.. They don't respect the people, they treat them like animals (with lack of better words). Well, what's really hard about the daily rutine is the transportation, i live like 5-6 kilometers from my work, and i gets my an hour just to get there, sometimes even two, because of the traffic and the control stops (You know they have a little device with a little antenna, that tracks explosives, guns and shit like that, so if you carried a gun the antenna would move towards you, so you have to slow down when passing by). I would say like 95% of the poor people have indoor plumbing, toilets, but our toilets is not like most toilets, you have to sit all the way down.. i don't know how to describe it, but imagine taking a dumb out in the woods, and they got like a hole to shit in.. So it usally smells pretty bad. We have running water, but it's not clean, so we have to buy bottles of clean water because my stomach isn't used to that dirty water. Well for income the children usally sit outside in the most crowded areas selling smokes, water, soda and whatnot, while the grownups drive taxis, work at a barbershop, you know all the normal stuff. We have goat herders but it's not that common as you would think it is. Most of our soil kinda dried up so it is very difficult to grow things, actually our vegetables and fruits is about the same prices as in Denmark. But we got most things, like supermarkets and grocery stores, just in a very shitty version. Well, i got food poisoning by eating some falafels outside, turns out that shit was pretty dirty, so i stopped eating out, and only ate bagged things when i was at work.. you know Pringels, lays, twix and snickers since they were the only brands that i would trust on. what i miss most is probably the 24 hour running electricity, we don't have that.. It's like on and off.. it's pissing me off. So when the shitty government decides enough electricity for now, they just shut it off totally randomly, so we got a local guy(let's call him Dave) sitting in a little room with alot of generators running, so when the government shuts down the electricity we have to wait for Dave turning the generators on, and Dave is on duty from 14-01, so if government shuts down before or after that time frame, you're pretty much screwed. Well, i own a car so i don't use other kinds of transportation, but if you dont have one, there is people driving around minibusses to get your around, and there is always a cap if you're in a hurry or don't know how to get there with those minibusses.

Feel free to hit me with a question if i didn't explain something good enough :D!

  11. Thats pretty cool OP is it pretty warm over there?<

  12. I think I've used similar toilet when I was in Crete. There is a hole in the floor and a mark for each foot to stand, then you squat and dump and trust you hit the hole. Then there was a water box mounted on the wall where you pull the chain to flush. Then you hear the water flush by in the hole.

  13. Kush is only a strain man.
