Hey guys, I have been flowering a single plant in DWC bucket under 400w HPS in a 3x3x8 grow tent. I switched the lights to 12/12 on Jan 1st, so I have been flowering for 45 days. Everything is going quite nicely, and the buds are fat and frosty. Anyways to get to the point, my lights come on at 10am and off at 10pm. I have these side vents on my grow tent that I can open and close. I close them before the lights go off, but I forgot to do it two nights and a row now, but shut them no longer then 30 mins after the lights go out. So what im trying to say is that some(not a lot) light might have been getting in the tent only for about 20-30 mins when the lights were supposed to be totally off. Is my plant going to be ok? How much of a line do you have to cross to mess up royally? I mean, everything still looks great to me. Also, has anyone ever grown the strain Mr. Nice. It is mostly pure indica. Was wondering if anyone had some sort of relative flowering time? Thangs guys LOAF
Yo man, should be just fine. As long as it's only 30 min or less and not bright intense light, it should be cool. Just like in nature, a full moon is pretty bright so a little light once and a while won't freak them out. Just try not to forget dammit! Sorry, can't help with strain advice. Just shoot for 8 weeks and feel it out from there.
Well the plants will tell you if it was bad... I mean they'll hermie if the light leak was signifigant enough... They will be fine you just might end up with some seedy buds. An eight week strain will finish in 56 days but, it is often recomended to let your fruits ripen signifigantly and a flowering time of 63-70 even 77 days is likley dependent upon environmental factors, strain, etc.. Nah i think youre all good. It was only 2 nights. And besides its kinda like the lights never went out. The 400 shut down and the flaps were closed a half hour later. Its not like it was total darkness for a while then half hour of light, then dark again. But overall it may have stressed them a tad. Keep an eye on it and keep it completly dark.
Right on, hopefully everything will turn out. Im very excited to harvest as this is my first grow, and everything looks awsome. I wish I wasnt so lazy or I would post some pics One more thing...when should I stop adding nutrients to my DWC bucket and start flushing? If im correct, you are supposed to start flushing 2 weeks before harvest. So that would mean I should start flushing soon? Thanks for the help people, Loaf
