Junior Murvin - Police And Thieves (the album) Max Romeo - War Ina Babylon Steel Pulse - Handsworth Revolution Alpha Blondy - Apartheid is Naziism King Tubby Lee Perry I've only recently began listening to and studying reggae, but most of these are artists and albums that are considered essential. For the last two, they're chiefly dub producers, not straight-up reggae artists, and they've both put out so so much material that it's damn near impossible to name any single album.
I see most of the foundation artists have already been mentioned but Anthony B Fanton Mojah Nasio Fontaine Daweh Congo Jah Mason Jah Cure Bushman Norris Man Buju Banton Just a few of my faves R.I.P Gregory Isacc and Sugar Minott you will be missed.
Mystic Roots - Constant Struggle - YouTube Elijah Prophet - Piece Of Ganja (HD) - YouTube Junior Reid Ft. Alborosie - Respect Yourself (Jungle Remix) - YouTube Bob Marley - Roots Rock Reggae - YouTube Max Romeo & The Upsetters - I chase the Devil - YouTube hope ull like those tunes
