Well, as most people here know, cannabis has never caused a human fatality, and it is nearly impossible to die from it. Unless of course you could consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes. Hah, yeah right! Most of you also know how much more dangerous other seemingly harmless things are, such as caffeine. So lets make a HUGE list of things marijuana is safer than!!!! Each number is the approximate amount of deaths per year, unless noted otherwise. I'll start. 1. Tobacco - 435,000 2. Alcohol - 85,000 3. Poor Diet and Physical Inactivity - 365,000 (Probably the most dangerous part of being a stoner ) 4. Microbial Agents - 75,000 5. Toxic Agents - 55,000 6. Motor Vehicle Crashes - 26,347 7. Adverse Reactions to Prescription Drugs - 32,000 8. An Eagle Dropping a Tortoise On Somebody's Head - 1 recorded throughout history 9. VENDING MACHINES!!! - 13 (each year! maybe we should illegalize them!) 10. Left handed people using products made for right handed people - 2,500 11. Diabetes - 180,000 (in the U.S.) 12. Influenza - Over 21,000,000 in 1918 13. Aspirin - 750 14. Caffeine - 6,000 15. Coconuts falling on peoples head.
Using a public restroom. Playing a sport. Driving to work. (car accidents, anyone?) Sperlunking Walking through downtown Chicago at 3am. The L redline (any station). Every pharmaceutical drug that is handed out like candy for such conditions as "When I breathe air, it keeps me alive" haha, LD
More people overdose on water and oxygen(yes, you can od on air amazing right?). Its really amazing how cannabis is like the most safe substance known to man atm.
Water has an achievable LD-50, cannabis doesn't. One of the things we rely on to exist is more dangerous than our beloved plant.
I lol'd @ the fact that more people have died from having a tortoise dropped on their head than smoking marijuana.
Thirteen people have been killed by vending machines? Holy Shit! Where did you happen upon that information? Those stories must be great.
I do remember hearing that on Mythbusters or something. A lot of people shake the vending machines and they are top heavy. Which may lead to one thing....
