Limp Stem

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Arou19901, May 22, 2006.

  1. So i have been growing for about 2 weeks now and i just moved it outside where it will stay for the rest of the grow. I just came out today, however, and the stem was extremely limp and it was basically lying on the ground. I propped it up with a stick and tied it to that so hopefully stem strength will increase. Any other suggestions as to what i should do are appreciated.

  2. don't tie too tightly. if it gets a good breeze where it is, leave it alone. If not, then put a fan on it once and a while to firm it up.

  3. Oh its getting much more than a good breeze...thats what worried me, it has been very windy around here. Also, the temperature has been going from like 50 at night to 70 in the day, coul dthat have anything to do with it?

  4. You said it youself:

" Its been much more than breezy over here, its been quite windy"

A young plant in strong winds = 'you guessed it'

  5. I think it will firm up with time.

  6. you said you moved it outside well you prolly aint waterin it enuff same thing happend 2 me and i gave it more water and in like 3hrs of sunlight it was back up standin tall
