why did he say he's mac dre and then rhyme job with job? Y'all say he's original or whatever but he's always sayin he's someone else.
yeah mac dre >> lil b in so many ways dude can actually rap, for one: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfeO5D5AbB4]Mac Dre - "Not My Job" - YouTube[/ame]
Don't get your panties in a bunch but I'm not about that Internet arguing life. I know you guys feel good about yourself when you try and put others down for there own interests and whatnot...but you should just try to live positive instead and mind your own business rather than speculating about other people.
im just saying if you're not about the internet arguing, why are you here? surely not for an intelligent discussion, we left that behind two pages ago when TexRx left.
...My favorite point of the thread was the post which, in essence, said, "I know he's not very good, but he's not signed, so I support him." Only about 40 seconds into a song (if you could call it that. I wouldn't.) and it's just him speaking about himself and bragging. Really not all that good. I'm going to stop torturing myself and go listen to something that was actually composed. With intention, emotion, and musical ability. Peace loaf, keep fighting the good fight.
Oh you wanted an intelligent discussion? I just saw you post about 365daysofgrowin's posting interests and musical taste. I figured this intelligent discussion option was out the window.
I did actually listen to all of it. I was severely displeased. It continued along the lines that I first heard from it.
so what's the deal? what makes lil b different from every other rapper with little talent? why does he commend the fanbase he does? welcoming all answers
He promotes a message greater than most "rappers"... Because people enjoy the music he puts out, whether it is a song called Violate That Bitch where people question every word that comes out of his mouth, or they like Real Life where he adresses issues that people he knew in his life had faced. And what do you mean by why does he command the fan base he does? People like to point out how much worse he is than prolific figures in Hip Hop like members of Wu Tang, Big L. Pac, Biggie...stop comparing. Take it for what it is, but I don't understand how people consider something like this tasteless. What you guys seem to not get is that Lil B is ambitious! He's got merit! He's tries to put out positive messages in some of his work. He often says he's about uplifting the black man. Lil B is not your typical rapper. He may be average or less to you, but the guy never falls into the stereotypical gansta rap category. He doesn't abuse the N word in his lyrics, too. People like me want straight raps about life, not about having to sell [censored] to feed the Fam.....Or riding around with a gun cuz some ***** is gonna rob you or shoot you in the back . Hatred towards the police is not there either. He doesn't hate fags, too.I mean one of his releases is called "I'm Gay [i'm happy]" Also, the guy will reach out to his fans when in person. Fans can get some acces to him when the situation is right..... Ya feel me?
Yeah I'm doing exactly that while you're in the land of denial trying to convince other people that he's a "musician". Edit: found something on reddit that applies to you http://i.imgur.com/inkNQ.jpg You don't even understand what merit means. Also there are millions of ambitious people...so? Who cares? He's not even ambitious enough to even use coherent lyrics. Who's fucking fault is that? Some good music to resurrect this thread from the gutters of rap [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSfk0wLs4EE[/ame]
all good points tex. but I just don't feel the positive message coming from his music. it REALLY strikes me as just more shallow, cock-rap. I mean, why does he talk about fucking other people's women? shit is degrading and offensive, whether it's meant in jest or not. and Ahtee, I never really got into biggie, tupac, Big L, wu-tang not that I don't like them I just never got into them. my taste runs toward the VERY old school: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d12_7u3rdfA]Rock Master Scott&The Dynamic Three - The Roof is on Fire(Jivin' 1985) - YouTube[/ame] or rappers a little bit more towards the conscious spectrum: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkBbFEbSCbg]The Last Emperor - Heaven - YouTube[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rmh7C5WbGN4]Larry the Eloquent MC - Wise The Sky Blue - YouTube[/ame] but I'm really diggin K.R.I.T. lately [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgmsj4bkm_c]BIG K.R.I.T. - Country Rap Tunes (4Eva N A Day) - YouTube[/ame]
I'm not trying to prove he is a "musician" you are lost. Loaf asked for an intelligent discussion. Stay on the side please if you are going to derail the discussion. Oh and this video applies PERFECTLY to Immortal Tech...he's a good rapper and all but here. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gVcFzXgaV0]TPS Reports - Vol. 5: Sippin' Siznurp - YouTube[/ame] 3:13-3:35 Oh yeah Palmer Squares are dope as hell, look them up. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSRD3hMRjUU]MC SHOWCASE 2011 - The Palmer Squares - YouTube[/ame] Look at that beutiful city.
That video doesn't apply at all to immortal technique, you don't know what you're talking about. IT is smart, does interviews on RT [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2JWksiG86w[/ame] Was said by tex, my mistake. You lil b disciples sound all the same I'm glad you brought up the point of derailing conversations, you might want to look at YOUR OWN POST of you derailing the thread with some mediocre videos
I don't see what gives you the right to talk this way about any music I listen to, period I could say something I don't like about the rap posted above but I will only say what I like about it: I like that the rapper is trying to teach something. There's definately a message.....
