  1. the plants im currently growing are bagseeds and they just grow up up up and not out. Like a 9 inch plant in height and has little leaf fanning. What am i doing wrong?

  2. Most likely you don't have enough light on it/your light is too far away thus creating the plant to 'stretch' for the light.

What types of lights are you using, and how far from the plant are they?

Another way to encourage a more bushy plant is to top it (read up on topping, pretty simple, and all over GC). When you snip off the new growth on your plant, the vertical growth slows for a bit, and your plant concentrates its energy on the side branching. On top of that you will increase the amount of top colas your plant will have, and we all know those are the best!!

Good luck, and post pics if you can!

  3. Its hard to tell without knowing more about your setup. There are many factors which can contribute to a plant stretching up instea of bushing out. What kind of light do you use and how close is it to your plant?

Is the plant leaning toward indica or sativa with its leaf shape? My first though is you may have a strongly sativa strain that may not start branching right away.
