Whats the difference between these: and soft white cfl bulbs? Is it possible to use these for something small?
Those don't look like CFLs to me. They look like incandescent lights. If they are, they won't work for your grow. Sorry. Good luck.
Incandescents are horribly inefficient. They put off more heat than light. You could use them to add heat to a CFL grow if you want, but that's about all the good they do.
They will work! The better question is how well will they work? Not very well at all, not well enough to even bother with. But there will be some growth under them, but will it be worth the effort probably not. First off as mentioned they are pretty inefficient light sources. Look at the wattage, an equivalent CFL would only draw 26watts for the same light rating. So the CFLs run you more at the beginning but work better for less cost than a regular bulb
