    I have a 150 watt hps bulb and the socket for it I wanted to know if I can wire it to a power cord and plug it in or do I need a ballas I don't want to burn my house down lol

    Get a ballast. Bad idea if you don't.

    wont work without a ballast. Home depot sells some, I dont know how high they go.

    You can also check htg supply dot com, or ebay.

    Cool I'll check it out . Yeah it's my dogs name btw I couldent think of any thing on the fly lol.
