I plan on using a 250w hps .. but iwas wondering if i could use some weaker lights at the base of the plant ..would help my lower branches have better buds
yea i always wonderd that, im not sure does the underside of the leaf work thesame as the upper side?
yeh sure you can, put some cfls hanging down the more light the better & get the right spectrum ,red & will help beef up your lower buds. all the best
Hey Gwalls.... The answer is YES. Based on the wattage of the HPS you're using I would highly recommend picking up a couple of those 300w output CFL's (energy savers) and putting one on either side of the plant. However, be aware that this will increase your temps somewhat. Not much as they are CFLs but you will still notice the temp climb a few degrees.
My box that im growin in is only for a 250w lighting or a 400 w with a cooling tube.. i dont plan on using a cooling system .. should i mabey lower the lighting power of the main lights so that i can add more lighting else where ????
