lights- how far away from the plants

    im thinking of getting 1000w lights and i read they have to be 4-5 feet above the plants is this true?

    im gonna get a metal halide light for veg growth then a HPS for flowering

    How many plants do you plan on growing?

    Each grow space is different. I always use the back of the hand test to determine the optimal distance.

    4' to 5' seems a little far to me. It's probably more like 2'-3'.

    cheers! I think im gonna get 2 packs of 10-15 seeds and two HPS lamps and see how it goes

    Dont forget floros for veg, and most people try and keep there hid at minimum 1 foot away from their plants.
