Yo gc I'm guna run to wally world in about an hour and I'm guna pick up some cfl bulbs I'm guna be growing 1 plant to get some experience under my belt I hear a lot about 2700 k and such don't really know what it means but what kind should I get and how many?? Thanks and peace
Hey man, So for the veg state of the plant, which is the first 4-6 weeks, you will want to get about 2-3 CFLs atleast 100watts and 6700k, or close to that. Later, once you begin flowering, you should switch to 2700k bulbs.
I would imagine they do. You will see on the CFLs that it says like 26 watts but 100 watt equivalent. People have always told me that you need a real 100 watt bulb and not just an equivalent. But I'm growing right now with those CFLs and everything is perfectly fine. I think what you need to pay more attention to is the amount of lumens the bulbs give off. Don't quote me on this but I think it's like 4,000-5,000 lumens per plant. 3 CFLs should about cover that. Good luck!
