So, I'm starting a closet grow (in the UK) but here's the thing; I CAN'T have any awkwardness regarding my electricity bill as I'm living with flat-mates. Any advice regarding lights that work best to this end? I'll grow under all fluros if I have to- I'm just growing for myself for now anyway. Thanks all.
well i'm in uk also 125 watt cfl,like one of those energy saving bulbs,and the electric was unnoticable,it's just like leaving your living room light on,i've now changed to hps and it's not too bad,extra £2.50-£3.00 a week,which can be easily justified,given summer has passed and it's cooler now
just seal the door and get good ventiliation. Than you can use ANY kind of light as long as you have the rigtht inline fans!
Fluro's good, I use 170w or so and I'm happy. Or if you want, HPS gets as small as 70w, but 150w would probly make you happy and go unnoticed.
I'm using 2X200w Envirolites and am very happy with the results. Have yet to flower but the veg is not much different from my 400W M/H which I don't use. I have 2X6400K 200w and 2X2700K 200w and 1X2700K 125w. Check this site out for lighting in the UK LIGHTING Max
dude, i highly doubt ur gunna get busted as long as you dont use more than abt 500 watts per hour for your entire grow. It'll tack on about 30 bucks monthly in u.s. currency (dont know conversion) but you will most likely not draw any suspicion. over 1000 and ur pushing it...
