whats up guys, i use 2 15w 18" fluorescent tubes in a 3 foot cardboard box i set up for these plants i started growing about a month ago, here's some pictures. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h.../iphone053.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h.../iphone052.jpg so yea there not the best lights but thats what my grow is starting to look like so far, i have the lights mounted at the top to the sides. im not sure what the degree's are. Now if i wanted to bud theses guys once they reach the right hieght do i just use the lights i have now and switch the lights on for 12 hours on and 12 hours off to indicate the flowering season for weed (fall), or do i get some lights the let out red warm light with 2500-3000k for my budding? i really want to have some decent quality weed that will get me high. i use nutrients and stuff so there pretty healthy.
The link to your second image is broken, though I was able to access the image after a little fixup on the URL. You will need more light to get a good yield. 200 watts minimum, going by the rule of thumb: 100 watts for the first plant, 50 watts for each additional plant. As you say, warm white light in the neighborhood of 2700K is what you want. Beyond the 200 watts, more light means more yield, provided you can deal with the heat. You don't say what the color temps of your existing bulbs are, but I would add to them rather than replace them. A mixed spectrum is a positive, provided the primary flowering spectrum is well represented. Your plants are beautiful.
