lighting

    should i leave my lights on all the time and if so for how long

    i just started 3 plants that havent even surfaced yet
    should i leave the lights on 24 hours and if so for how long

    The lights don't need to be on if they haven't broken through yet. But when they do break through turn em on and either run a 24/0 or 18/6 cycle.

    is it bad to have the lights on before they break through?????

    No it's not bad. Just not necessary. They're not going to utilize the light until they break through.
