Yes, they will work for a while, until the plants get established. That's not enough light to carry 20 plants thru their life cycle though. You have just a little over 200 watts now, and ideally will need about 1000w for that amount of plants. I would check into a HPS system or something similar. And for vegging, you want to go with a daylight or bright white bulb, which is 6500K. The softwhite or cool white are 2700K and used for the flowering stage.

  3. OKay i understand, how long till they get established ?

  4. The lights are too far away. You're going to essentially ruin those plants with stretching if you don't add more lights and closer to the foliage.

  5. What you think about a 450 or 600 watt MH. The thing is i just cant have the electricity to high i can but just dont want it to be. Im trying to save it for when im flowering! But yes any advice would be cool. Thanks texan and homerk. THANKS:)

  6. you seem to be very exp. in this field. i just wanted to ask. im growing in my closet and i have 2x 26w daylight cfl, 6500k . 1 65w incandesent 3000k, and 51w of soft white CFL. now i know your supposed to have at least 100 watts daylight CFL but what im asking is. will i even get a yeild? am i wasting my time? i dont really have any money to be spending so more lights are out right now. im going to buy a ph kit and ferts soon. but thats about it. im wanting to keep a few plants and kill the others once its time to really grow right now i have lots of plants under my lights just seeing what is going to live past the first stages
