Need some input... 24/0 light schedule or 18/6 for veg? I've been doing 24/0 but is there a difference?? Thanks!
Not really..I like 20/4 for veg. I like some light off mostly because I prefer my hps light not run constantly for 6 weeks of veg. But any schedule will work fine, if light is left on longer you will get faster growth. Up to you though
You'll be very happy with that 400 hps man...if you can use it the last week of veg for some extra growth, do it! Happy growin' man
Still putting together a grow box I was running a 400w mh for veg but it kept blowing the circuit breaker that's why I switched to cfls for now till I figure out that problem. Plus I'm on a tight budget :/
You will see more growth with light on for longer periods of time...I researched this for a very long time..I was an 18/6 grower for a year before I decided to do 20/4...the only difference is I see a lot more growth in a much shorter time frame...they still get 4 hours of dark..I mean it's weed, VERY difficult to mess this plant up
I'll do the 20/4, and I've already lost over ten plants outdoors due to a terrible heat wave and my dog getting to em :/ so hopefully I'll have some good luck this time!
I promise you won't regret it, just keep the temps around 75-80 degrees, have one or two oscillating fans blowing on the plants..they will love that light
The heat will stunt the plants right? Cuz I started these seeds about 11 weeks ago and they're just now starting to show some growth, I almost gave up on them. Glad I didn't tho
Is there a difference well do the math. Every 4 days of 24 vs 18 you get another day of light. Basically under 24 hours your giving your light 33% more light a day. Some say a plant needs to sleep. Theres no proof of that. Growing Cannabis is of the largest experiments in history and plants that people grow all over the world under 24 hour lighting are not kneeling over. If they were you'd see it. If it was detrimental then all over every forum you would see adverse consequences. I myself grow in Veg or if I am growing Autos use 24 hour light. Always have and never a issue. I have 2 grows going on my photoperiod plants were under 24 hour and the autos I currently have have never seen a day without a hour of light. Now you will save some money with your lights off but that will come at a smaller plant.
