Alright I'm on my first grow currently and I made a bit of a mistake when starting my grow. I started the lighting schedule on 12/12. About a day or two after it sprouted I learned that 12/12 is supposed to be used for flowering and it is recommended to get more hours of light during vegetation. I'm on about day 16 right now and it has been growing pretty consistently but from looking at pictures online I think it should be growing a bit faster. For my question: I recently put it on 14/10 but would it harm the plant if I gave it even more hours of light per day at this stage? Note that I am only growing one plant (this is more of an experiment) and I would like to decrease my chances of having a male the best I can. Help is greatly appreciated.
I can't completely follow what you are saying. "A day or two after it sprouted" is when you learned it should not be on 12/12. Now it is day 16 and you "recently put it on 14/10". So what what was the light schedule between day 2 and day 16? Is the plant sexing?
During veg you should be on a 24/0 or 18/6 light schedule. I don't think it will stress your plants any more if you switch to one of those schedules.
