So I am trying to plan out my grow room and form some sort of a budget for the build. I am growing in soil. I was thinking 10 maybe 12 5 gallon smart pots. They will be arranged in a rectangle in the center of my room so I can walk around the outside of all of the plants easily. I am tossed up between using two 600Watt lights side by side or whether to go with the 1000Watt light on a light mover. If someone had some experience using either and wanted to give their input on why they liked they're setup what worked and what didn't work that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your input.
In my experience two 600's will actually stay cooler (in cool tubes) than one 1000 watt. And there is something to be said for multi-point lighting (though the mover would have the same effect). If you are growing different strains and not doing a scrog or LSTing them, they will likely not me the same height , so a light mover would put the light further away from them than you could keep the 600's.
