i have a 2 plant growroom i have a quick question for u guys i have one 68watt cfl thats 300 watt EQUIVALENT..and four 23watt cfls that are each suppose to be 100 watts EQUIVALENT, just wanna know if thats enuff light for this WHOLE grow, only two plants, thx!
Hi.. According to Kamel's CFL stickie, located here http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/122824-kamels-cfl-guide.html , you want to have about 100w (actual.. not equivalant) per plant. You need to make sure that they are the correct color for vegging and for flowering. Read the stickie, it has all of the CFL information you require. Good Luck!
you don't want equivalent, you want actual. 100w ACTUAL per plant 68w+(4x23w)=160w if you need about 100w ACTUAL per plant, you need two more 23w CFL. and again as WhoBeBoo said, you need to make sure they are the right K Value for veg/flower.
You keep paying for those cfls and you could have a small hid... But yes the 100 watts will net you some buds with some work and thoughtful placement.
Kamels cfl guide says 100w actual for the first plant and 50 watts for every extra plant after that. You're good as long as the light is close enough. From Kamel:
