Lighting Question

    Is growing under only 5000k-6500k cfl's ok or do I need a multispectrum? I am growing lowryder purp gems. I am going with hps for flowering, I was just wondering about the veg state.

    those should work deliciously for you.. I have a 5200k cfl for my veg room and my ladies love it.

    imo you're good. I added a couple of 2700's in my veg closet and I have not noticed any difference

    So am I understanding correctly that during photosynthesis the plant utilizes the blue spectrum of light, so would it be better to go with all 6500k's or a mix of 6500k's and something closer to 5000k

    bump curious to see if ppl suggest all 6500k for veg or mixing a few 5100s in there.
