I have one plant under a 20 watt Sylvania Gro-Lux 24" tube. Am I going to get anywhere with this? It is in my closet in a 5 gallon bucket. Suggestions?
To be perfectly honest....It will take a long time with very little yield. Can you add more lighting? HPS ideal, however if money is a problem then you will certainly need more fluoro's, get another three, ok good luck
I started with the Gro-lux but then I found out that just because it's got the right spectrum, It just isn't bright enough. From what little I know, blue and red are the primary colors neede in the spectrum. Blue for veg, and red for flower. Try 2 cool white to every 1 warm flo. This is my set up and I've been pleasantly surprised:a 6 sq/ft gro space with 2 four foot dual fixtures with 2 cool white and 2 Sylvania Sunsticks(for a total of 160 watts) and 2 cool white 2 foot flo's(total of 40 watts) for a grand total of 200 watts. I've just added a 120 watt "Spot-Gro" incandescent up high to just fill in the dead spots. If any one has used these Spot-Gro's let me know how they worked.
