lighting question on cfl's?

    Are these any good?

    Those should be good but you must make sure that it is not 125 or 200 incandescent equivalent. I have never seen a 200 watt CFL but if it does exist its going to be HUGE, so be prepared.

    heh, I saw an 85w at lowes tonight. yes, 85w. on an E39 Mogul base though. lumens and color temp not rated, as its a specialty light to replace 435w incandescent! thats a big boy

    they also have 65w 3900 lumen 2700k bulb. bullshit if you ask me...home depot has a 68w 4200 lumen 2700k bulb. 3w for 300 lumens anyone?

    edit : ive tried none of these, so I dont know how hot they would potentially be. They are about 12-14" from base to tip though, so keep that in mind.
