I have a question, after reading through a post on CFL's. I saw a post referencing needing a 1000W for a 12 plant hydro set up. I am familiar with hydro ebb and flo tables, and have used both 1-1000w MH and 1 1000w HPS, rotating plants so everybody gets some. Always out standing results, but properly ventilated and wired for everything. We pull and push fresh and warmed air continuously to maintian temp and humid levels. Ok here is the question if you please... Should we use 1 1000w HPS or 1-600W HPS or 1-Sunleaves Pioneer VI GROW 6-bulb Flouro fixture and 1-Sunleaves Pioneer VI Bloom 6-bulb Fluor Fixture. We have a 4x4 ebb flow econoket kit. in a Home box 56"x56"x79". My knowledge tells me what is the best, but those conditions are not achieveable under this situation. The cost is not really an issue here, we are looking to maximize our outcome for our best effort Thanks GC!! Frag Out!
I have a pioneer viii it's a great lamp But if i was doing it again i would buy a badboy 12 tube or 16 tube, they are so nice.
Hello Deadman, Thanks for the reply, how do those buds finish? are they loaded with trich's? Money isnt the issue. But the final product is. Normally it would be different but due to area constraints we are opting for the Fluro's I have a Pioneer IV but its used for juveniles in veg. I really want a wider spectrum than a MH or HPS would provide on its own. The UV light has a lot to do with trich production, its actually a defense mech that causes it to happen, the bigger the UV threat the Better the trich production. So are those some snowy buds under the VIII? THanks Dead! Frag Out! Pic is WW cut on 11-9-09 on the table for 12/12 on 12-26-09 now 27 days into flowering.
The bud sights get really snowy, in fact I hate trimming because most of my leaves have great trics on them, i don't like to feel like i'm trowing smokeable product away. Every grow i get better and better but i prefer the t-5 over my 1000 I don't get any heat issues and my power bills are alot lower
I have a friend who is trying pl-l lights with great success. They are like a 4' T-5s bent in half. 21 inches long and perfect for the micro grower
