lighting positions...

  1. I have a 250 watt HPS and have several fluoro's laying around and i figure the more light the better so im def. goin to use them...BUT...how should i set them up relative to the plants?

2x2x4 grow box, vegging four plants, flowering up to 3...

Should i put them horizontally on all sides? if so, how far up from the base of the pots?

Should i put them vertically at corners?

Vertically at the midpoints of each side?

Here is my thinking...the top of the plant is getting lots of lumens from the hps...so i would want to focus the fluoros at the base of the plant...
BUT...i hear that during flowering the base buds arent really important...
    HELP PLEASE

  2. That HPS should be enough light for flowering, but anything else can only help. Yeah i would have the flouros near the base of the plants, the HPS is enough for the tops.

  3. ok first of all what flouros u got? like u got cfls or the flouro tubes

  4. cuz if they are the tubes id say have them about 1 foot from the top of the pots going horizantl on the walls around it and have the hps on top... with good soil and vent ull have urself a very good crop going with that amount of light
