Lighting for seedlings.

    Hi everybody,
    I only have 600w hps lights and due to unforseen circumstances I've had to plant some seeds I had kept.
    Had them in a humidity dome in a little greenhouse on my deck. Doing well but they were so close to being seen by someone who would know instantly what they were. So I freaked and decided to move them to my indoor tent.
    Like I said I only have 600w hps lights. Tent already has month old plants in them so I will have to run two lights because of the differing light height requirements. Lights on 18/6. Temps shouldnt be an issue as I run a/c in tent. Seeds coming up to ten days old.

    I was promised some clones by a guy I know, but he let me down. Any advice would be appreciated.

    I’m curious to see how this goes. im days away from starting my first grow. 600w hps aswell. How high is the light from your seedlings?

    Hi,
    Ive never had to do this. Read online to start at 20 inches then move accordingly. Meant to add that leaving them outside in garden is not an option.

    You'll be ok vegging under hps. Not ideal but. To compensate for different height plants I have found it much easier to leave the light alone and raise or lower individual plants.
