I have recently started a small grow set up in a closet of mine and i am using a 100 watt high output flourecent bulb for 2 plants. I only planned on using this light for the veg stage and buying a hps light for the flowering stage but i went to my local hydro store and their hps lights started at around 250 dollars. I spent less than that on my entire hydro system and am not really willing to spent that much money on lighting. Can anyone please offer me a cheaper solution or let me know if the lights i have now are sufficient. thanks in advance.
You could always flower with soft white CFL's if you want to go cheaper. 8 26 watt soft white CFL's should run around $40-$50 depending on where you buy them. I saw them at walmat for 8.29 a pair.
