Will black lights work? what about a heat lamp i have for a gecko.. not sure the watt or any of that. Just know it is a heat lamp from my gecko. bout 18" maybe 20". I also have two soft whites, 100W, pout out 1600 lummens each. And i have 2 plants. What lights should i use? i know i have to go find some better ones probably, tell me what i could get for the platns, at like home depot or a hardware store.. i dont know of any nurserys.
Black Lights are high in UVs and don't give a vitamin or a certain nutrient that other lights give... That's about all I know.
a heat lamp will be usefull in flowring stage.... if u dont wanna spend lots of money.... Get a set of 2 fluros light.... be sure its a coolwhite fluro.... Those will be helpfull in both stage.... But if ur more like the big spender kind... get a HPS light bulb... around 400W if u want ur light at a reasonnable distance from ur plants..... And when u seperate ur male from females... add ur heat light u had 4 u geckos when ur plants starts theyr flowring stage.... but watch ur temperatur and humdity level !!!!
ok well, the blacklight isnt being used still. The only light they are getting is 24/ light from the heat lamp. the temp is a constant 79, and the light is about 6 inches from the top of the plants.
