Lighting during flowering???

  1. I am in the middle of my first grow right now, a little over 2 weeks into veg. I only have 1 plant at the moment so my lighting has been 4x 23 watt CFLs (6500k). When I decide to put it into flowering, would adding 2x 23 watt CFLs(2700k) be sufficient? So in the end I would have 6 CFLs(4 6500k, 2 2700k) totaling a little less than 140 watts? Thanks in advance for helping!

  2. When I'm using CFLs, I don't pay as much attention to the number of lights because the number will vary greatly depending on the plant and how it grows. What you're going for is you want to make sure that there aren't any 'shadowy' areas of the plant which aren't receiving much light. The light from a CFL bulb light is good for 2-6 inches away from the bulb. Therefore, if there are parts of the leaves on your plant that aren't within 6 inches of a bulb, you may want to plug in another bulb in that spot.
