I currently run 2 Viparspectra Par600 (true watt 285 at max) and a Advanced Platinum 300 (true watt 180) in a 96x40x70 grow tent (actually using only about a 6x3 space). I also have a 36x36 for veg. I've dabbled with different styles of growing, and last run was with oxygen pots (recirculating system) in coco/perlite medium with Cyco nutes. I'm wanting to start a perpetual grow with staggered stage. The idea is to have 3 in flower at a time at different stages with staggered lighting. I tend to do lst and super cropping to keep a low profile and widen the canopy. Looking to change up lighting and I've been looking at the kingbrite 240w qb288 boards, but have some questions: 1) Is it better to have separate heatsink or just the one across 2 boards? 2) Should all lights in flower be the same or stagger as well? (Looking at 3500k (2) and 3500k w/ 660nm (1)). Advice and suggestions greatly appreciated. Sent from my SM-T510 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
1) A small sink for each board will allow you to have each one hanging at different hights while a large one will not but will be easier to move up and down if you want all the lights at the same level. Might also be a couple of bucks cheaper to go with a biger sink. Two small sinks will also allow you more flexability in where you position the boards. 2) I would get all 3500+660
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by extra heatsink. Each would have their own heatsink, yes, because they are individual boards and not 2 built together. I have pretty much decided to get them all at 250w with the extra 660nm with ir and uv. Sent from my LG-H932 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I would get separate sinks so you can space them out to cover your area more evenly. When you have all the light in the middle, it promotes an uneven canopy
