  1. hi guys, need some advice on lighting for my closet hasberry grow...

my beans are germinating as we speak and i just went to the local hardware store to look for cfls....

    i found....(all cfl)...

some 20w (100w equiv) bulbs with 1200lumens output (pack of 2) - didnt say 'k' value

    a 23w CFL 2700k - didnt say lumens

    a 15w 2700k

    a 150w 2050lumens - 2700k

these were all the fluros i could find and most of them just said white on them, i couldnt find any that said daylight??

are any of these any good or am i looking in the wrong place??

  2. hehehe.... hash berry..... thats almost the same type as mine :), mines Hash Bubble Hybred.... anyways i'd go with the more output of lumens u can find....

and cool white is better than nothing.... somepeople just use Regular Desk lamps...

such as a 20 watt halogen light.... its pointless.....lol more or less it kills the plant

anyways go with the highest lumens and highest wattage and either cool white or daylight...

but for flowering you're goin to have to change the bulbs to Warm white...
    with the highest output...

my 2 plants right now are under x3 24" fluoro's as we speak, 3" away from tips
i have x2 20 watt Cool Whites on the outside, and my 40 watt Gro-lite Fluoro in the Center, and my plants doing good

And Also have a Fan blowing on you're plants... to make them Buff//Strong

    anyways

hope my tips help!!!, Good luck:smoking:

  3. if worse comes to worse buy them, take em home and try them. if it's orange/yellow light it's a 2700k +/- and if it's blueish/white it's 5600kish. but either temp will work for veg/flower if needed just your results will vary.

  4. cheers for your responces guys...

its really hard to pick em, as far as i could see they were all 2700k - is thatthe flowering one?? willl they work for veg 2??

it doesnt say on the boxes whether they are warm white or daylight, thats wots really confused me!

  5. 2700k is more or less Indecants or "how ever u spell it", anyways

you're looking for a higher # when ur in Veg. stage, 2700k will be fine for flowering, i have 6500K Daylight bulbs (as i know), and my gro-lite is 3050K,

just look for the highest you can get... if you can't get ANYTHING higher than 2700K, then i guess you're going to have to Deal wit it....

Best of luck to ya, and Post some pics if u can :)

  6. cheers mate, ill get back down to the shop today... if i cant get any higher than 2700k for vegging, will they work at all?

ill have a look around for some 6500k but im not holding my breath...

would u reccomend fluro tubes aswell as the cfls?? ive only used hps before and i dont have access to it at the mo, so fluros are the way to go i think...

  7. Yeah your 2700k lights are for flowering. How many plants? You may want more.
Anything saying sunlight or daylight should have the proper veg color temp, around 6500k. You can use your soft whites, but you won't get anywhere near the result of a good blue daylight bulb. I'm guessing you aren't from the land of Wal Marts, so I don't know where to tell you to go looking, but any department store with a hardware section is a good start.
