Ok I'm starting a personal grow and i really want to use cfls since I don't see the need to purchase a hps or mh lighting system just yet I want to learn an develop some skills of growing before jumping in way over my head. But I was wondering how many lights and which bulbs would you recommend? For only one plant but I'm getting some seeds in this week so It might be three at the most seeing that I live In a non me state?
You're better off getting a cheap MH/HPS kit from ebay and upgrading when you have a grasp on things. Getting 3-4 CFLs and the sockets for them isnt really going to be much more cost savings vs this: 400W 400 Watt HPS MH Grow Light System Set Premium Kit DIMM Green House iPower | eBay
you say your going to grow 1, but lets be honest. your gonna germ every fkn seed you got right? i use cfls at the moment, because im a dumb as fk cunt . so theirs your answer. go buy a 400w hps with ballast and globe for like $60? why would you want to bother with 8 lamps that are all providing enormous amounts of heat when you can have 1 single lamp with much better effects...... like i said im using cfls coz im a dumb cunt.
