Lighting after germination?

    I am going to use a 250 W HPS, is it OK to start out using this light after germination?

    I would avoid using HPS in the first week or two of growth. HPS causes seedlings to stretch and they'll be burned if the light is not really far from them at first. I would use CFLs or T5s until they develop a couple or a few nodes and then if you would like to switch to the HPS.

    what about 250 mh or is that to much 1st week?
