I have a large attic so space is not an issue. I have 4 400w MH and one 400w HPS. I also have flouros. M design obviously involves three rooms. One for seedlings one for vegging and one for flowering. My question is should I have thre MH's in my veg and a MH with the HPS in my flower room or should I have two MH in veg and two Mh with my HPS in my flowering room? What ever is the ideal configuration could you also tell me the ideal size of the rooms that I will create?
how many plants and how large a space.. Attics are by themselves very hot, not to mention adding MH and HPS so make sure you have some REALLY good ventilation. depending on the size i would put 2x400w MH for Veg and in the flowering room put one MH and one HPS for dual spectrum which will flower much better for you. The seedlings only need flourescents so you have an additional MH left over if anything goes wrong.
Thank you for your reply. I am confused about how one would determine the best sizes for the different rooms considering the amount of lighting provided. This attic may be 6ft at center with good ventilation very possible. We have winter months also which helps I'm sure. Again thanks for your advice, one would be wise to have a spare.
just a little thought, dont let your roof be the only one on the block with no snow on the roof, from the heat put out by a light, just think it all out,, all of it, and beat out the bugs, until your setup is running 100%, and all issues are took care of, i had thought my first grow setup , was sweet right at the time of real operation, and i found myself doing little modifications to it as the grow went on. your temperature will be the first thing you have to whip, you may wont to think of '' making a room in a room'' meaning to section off a area of your vast attic. to a cubicle , completlly controlling the enviorment in this inclosure, good luck with your grow!!!!!
I will section of the area as soon as I know the optimum size of the space. I've got a bunch of durban/blueberry and blueberry/strong indica. I really want to make sure my plants come out nice but also I want to obtain maximum yield. I would like some expert advice on proper size and light configuration. Thanks everybody I am learning a lot. P.S. under the name os the seeds my friend wrote "unstable", what would that mean exactly?
