Hey guys, So before everyone comes in here bashing lightbulb vapes let me just say I've been using one for years and I love it. It's super efficient, get's you super ripped and is very low key. A great personal piece. I couldn't give two shits if I look like a meth head if it does it's job. Anyways, on to my question, the light bulb that I'm using this time has a blue tint to the glass. It originally had the white film but after I cleaned it out I noticed it was blue. Does anyone know what this blue tint might be? Would it react to heat? Would it be bad for me to smoke out of? Any help would be much appreciated!
My what incredibly helpful posts...thank you guys so much! I don't have a real vape because: (1) I can't afford it and (2) I am living with my parents at the moment...having to grind up my weed and having to heat up a vape are not conducive to quick/stealth sessions. Do you really think if I could get a real vape (I had a Silver Surfer for a while but it was stolen and this was when I was not living with the parents) I wouldn't have one? Nice try trolls...now go smoke more weed cause you clearly need to mellow the hell out.
I'm not so sure fucking lightbulbs are the healthiest thing for you. Lightbulbs are filled with a gas. That's why they light up so well without the filament burning out. Whether that's toxic or not, I have no idea.
I'm not sure if you've seen a lightbulb vape before but it's cleaned out all the way before I put any herb in it. Basically it's just a bulb of really thin glass. There is no way that it is unhealthy for you. What I am worried about though, and the purpose of this post, is whether or not the blue tint in the lightbulb (I have never seen this before, mine have always been completely clear) is harmful. Does anyone know what this blue tint/hue is and how it might react to heat?

Jesus christ...how derp are you? Did I not just say that I'm living at home and need a piece for quick, stealth sesh's? I don't know what kind of pipes you smoke in Colorado but the one's out here tend to smell after you smoke them...a lot. And I obviously don't smoke this all the god damn time...I have a bong when I can hotbox with friends. I just need something for home and the lighbulb vape fits the bill perfectly.
First off, I have no experience with lightbulb vapes......but did you use a different type/brand lightbulb this time? The same cleaner and all that jazz? Just trying to narrow things down to help you figure out what the cause is. Good luck.
You just use salt to clean it, followed by a thorough bath. As far as the bulb, I can't remember which one's I've used before but this one just looks like a normal, white light bulb. Not incandescent or anything. The blueish tint is part of the actual glass.

Probably just there for a softer or brighter glow. I think you'll be fine. Just try and remember what brand you're using and stick with the one you feel most comfortable with. You're only using it for short stealth sesh's so I wouldn't sweat it. Cheers!
What do you want man. We don't know what your light bulb is, because not only do we not manufacture light bulbs... we haven't even seen your light bulb. The only thing you can ever know for sure is: That glass likely has some chemical in it with a random boiling point that off-gasses at a random temperature and likely has a material data safety sheet a page or two long somewhere. In other words... Smoking out of random stuff you don't know about = crack head shit, hence the reaction you are getting here. The "I don't care as long as it gets me high" is pretty damn crack head too. If you have weed to smoke, you have some money... Buy something not coated with random unidentified chemicals. Your normal white light bulb that you would use for a crack pipe IS an incandescent bulb...
