lightbulb vap

    Well I got tired of rolling J's and hiting bongs, so I decided to make a lightbulb vap, so i followed a guide from part of the forum and here is what i got, it works great, but its hard controlling the temp so you can not burn the weed. but hey im really HIGH!!

    oh, and it makes the taste you get in your mouth, is exactly like a hot cup of bigelow green tea, mmMMmmMMmM

    I wanted to kinda say something bout this type of vape.

    It seems kinda harmful in a way. Afterall, if you can heat the bud up enough to vaporize the THC, what makes you think you're not heating the tape/plastic up enough? Does the heat spread cleanly enough to not cause this? How about the straw?


    I use a vape i bought off ebay, it's a VaporWarez, and I'd never trade it in for anything (except maybe a volcano... anyone care to trade? LOL :hello:)

    haha its safe, only the bottom bulb area gets hot, you can hold the top glass area with bare hands, so you know the plastic isnt vaped

    Even if the tape got hot. I would melt. and its on the outside so you wouldnt inhale any possilbe vapors.

    i made one kinda like that but the cap screws on to the socket part
    i have had probs with the weed burning up inside it but if u start far away with the flame and get closer it works better

    were does the air get in
    mine has two tubes one for air one for hitting

    you probably can't see his "intake" hole because it's just a hole in the cap - no need for a straw for that.

    and glass, as you know, does not transfer heat well at all, so while the part touching the flame will be much too hot to touch by hand, the part with the tape can easily be held, and the tape does not melt.

    one reason for concern is that i think the inside of the bulbs might not be as clean as we hope. hopefully there isn't anything toxic in there as well, that we're vaping with our bud.

    my rig is exactly the same only i use a pen tube instead of a straw and just hold it by that, another thing is, if you use the stove to heat it you save lighter fluid and it heats really fast and blue flames dont burn they just heat so theres no soot. Mine gets dirty it seems, and it has a weird taste after a bit, and i feel like a crack adict. other than that it gets you high off less than a bowl-full

    Can't use those things for weed anymore...triggers way too many meth-memories and I end up fiending shards like a mofo. Air intake is best made by heating a spot on the top of the bulb red-hot with a torch and blowing-out/popping a hole at that location.

    I'm an idiot and my lightbulb cracked at the bottom when i held the lighter up to it.
