Okay I have been searching for a bit and cant find any solid info for my question. I have a 4' X 5' space, what size HPS should I go with?
all depends on your control of the temps, if you can cool a 600w+ HPS definitely go with it. my op is in my attic and the ballast doesn't increase heat much. it's also winter...
I have 7 feet or so lots of room as far as height. My space hovers at 70 degrees F. as it is and there is no lighting or ventilation. I would prefer to go 600W for obvious reasons. I have a 190cfm blower picked out and my space is well insulated. Does anyone know if I will be able so keep things cool enough? I plan on using a passive intake.
I have a 2'x4'x5' tent with a 400w hps in a cool tube. I'm running a 6" inline fan, 400cfm, at about half speed, and my temp stay around 79-81. I would deffinately go with a 600w with a air cooled hood. You will be much happier in the long run.
