I bought a HPS security light from lowe's but it turns itself off every so often for a couple minutes then turns itself back on, will this work or did I just waste my money?
I think the engery used to switch a hps light on is far greater then while its running by alot so maybe not a good idea.
anyone know why it turns itself off, do you think it has a built in thermometer or something? it was 80 bucks from lowe's. If anyone knows a way to keep it on permanently please share, if not I would really appreciate a link to a cheaper HPS light that is known to be good for growing
if its a security light its prolly got a motion senser on it to decent intruders or somthing like that which will knock its self off to save electric
either a motion sensor or possibly a light sensor. look near the part that mounts to the wall/pole/etc. for a little glass thingie. put some electrical tape over it.
