i have 3 150 watt(42 watt) cfl's 2700k for flowering 1-4 inches above the plant. I was wondering isn't 2700k the same light spectrum as an incandescent light bulb i dont understand the light output diffrence of the the two bulbs. I alsso have 4-5500K 100 watt(26 watt). Is it ok to mix these two spectrums?

    thanks

  2. When referring to CFL's only the actual watt rating matters. Your 150watt is a 42watt in reality. To answer your questions, incandescent lightbulbs (regular lightbulbs) are no good for growing, and it is perfectly fine to mix spectrums. Just stay away from anything in the ~3000k-4500k spectrum.
