ok well i had 9x6500k 26w cfls but i heard they like both spectrums of light throughout there entire life so i only had 1x26w and 2x13w 2700k bulbs so i replaced 3 of the 6500k lights with the 2700k so i have 6x6500k and 3x2700k is that good or what? or could i just go back 9x6500k for veg. and do 9x2700k for flowering?
honestly you will see good results with either spectrum. if you've already got 9 6500k cfl's then use them for veg, and pic up 9 2700k's for flowering. try to stay away from the 13w lamps, as they really arent big enough to throw out enough usable light for the plant. but dont get to thinking bigger is better... ive seen ALOT of cfl grows on here, and i have come to the conclusion that cfl's between 27-55w provide the best light spectrum for plant growth... you get over 55w's you're getting less lumens p/watt then with the smaller lamps. and this is not just information from another grower, but i am also a Licensed electrician
