Light Placement

  1. I've run into an issue where I must move my plants. I have a new spot but I won't be able to get the lights above the plants because it's not tall enough. Will they be fine with light beside them?

  2. they will grow towards the light. ;)

won't be optimal at all, i'm sure you can find a way to make it work

  3. How about putting the plant sideways? I could find a way to prevent soil from falling out, and they will continue to grow "upward"

  4. Dude...if you try it, post pics...I GOTTA see it if you can get pot to grow horizontally instead of vertically!

  5. Lol.....go for upside down
    Lol.....go for upside down

  6. Something just occurred to me.

What medium are you growing in, and what's the height of the available space (and what kind of lighting)?

Reflected light is weaker (by far) than direct light...but I can conceive of a couple ways, if you're willing to make that sacrifice, to use reflection techniques and shading to bring the light in from above.

I wouldn't SUGGEST them, if there was an option. But it sounds like you're in a fix, so MAYBE I can help with a bit of redneck engineering.

Though I do wonder if that'd work, I highly doubt it.
