When growing photos, because of the carbon filter system sucking air from the bottom vents, what do you do about light leaks? Sent from my RCT6973MDN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I put something in front like cardboard or the curtain piece that comes with the tent so that there is still air flow possible, but light is mostly blocked
Cardboard box tapped around tent and light cut out in box somewhere opposite of tent opening due to light doesn’t bend around corners. Utilize unused round openings with dryer ducting bent down.
Close all window and use a 4 inch or 6 inch vent line that is light proof out of a circular vent hole in the tent. I also use a fan to push air into the tent through the vent line.
Thanks to all you guys. I'm thinking about using black shadecloth that allows air still sucked in through vents Sent from my RCT6973MDN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I make sure the flaps form a little awning over the air screens, and I don't worry about it. In nature, there are the stars and moon. They definitely generate more light than the scant photons bouncing off my bathroom floor.
Another great answer I been looking for especially since that's my main experience years ago was outside Sent from my RCT6973MDN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I agree with this.......too many people get hung up on "if a cigarette is lit by my plant......will it herm".........you def wanna try and keep as much light out as possible......but don't freak if some happens to get in.........my .02
And if they're autos, I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter at all. I mean, I wouldn't test it and give it a different amount of light every day of the week, but those plants evolved in 30 Days of Night territory. They're adapted to that*, 30 days of day, and everything in between. * = Not really. That's the middle of winter. I'm just making a point.
