light height?

    I'm running a 600 and a 400 hps in my closet, 5x6x8. I'm wondering how high my lights should be from canopy?

    as low as 18 inches is safe!

    I just raised them from 18inches, I'm wondering if I'm too high now... no pun intended

    judged from the pic, you could be much lower

    As long as heat is good you can drop them to about 8" to 12" from the tops. At 18" your loosing alot of lumens for nothing.
