I've recently been enlightened about auto flowering strains, this puts a grow within my reach. I'm wondering what kind of light should be used? HPS, or MH, and what wattage. I'd like to yield about 1/4 pound a month, or get on a cycle that lets me have a harvest every 2 weeks. Some one please correct me if I'm wrong but having auto flowering plants seams to be a "set it and forget it" kind of set up? And allows you to have plants a day from harvest and a fresh clone in the same room. One other thing, I know this question has been done to death but, how much can I expect from 1 auto flowering plant that I let get about 1'1/2 high.
I think your expectations for autoflowers is a tad too high. You can't clone autoflowers. They don't yield as much either because there allready on a set schedule. They veg for like 2-3 wks and then start flowering. As long as it's a REAL autoflowering and does what it's suppose to you can have it on 24/7 light. I have a Blue Himaylan Diesel autoflower from Short Seeds and I'm pretty happy with it. It's been showing pistils for about a week now and growing nice. But nothing like my other tress which are huge. Mines under a 150HPS. I have it on 12/12 just cuz it's in the same chamber as my other flowering girls so I might yield less but I'm not to worried bout it. I post pics later
