I think I'm about to start a grow (my first time). I'm looking at either a 150 watt HPS or a 250 watt HPS...I have a relatively small grow space- about 1.5 feet deep by 3 feet long. I'm gonna try to grow 2 or 3 small/medium sized plants in there. The one thing I'm not sure about is how close the light can get to the plants. I'm restricted to a max height of 5 feet so I want to make sure I can grow the plants to a good height (no more than 3 feet) and have enough room to keep the light above them. So about how close can a 150-250 watt HPS light get to the tops of the plants? Thanks in advance for any help. -pAtRiCk
Hi m8. Do you have extraction in that space? also have you looked at these light http://www.mglights.co.uk/ you would need 1 Blue and 1 White. They give off very little heat and are great for growing in small spaces. Back to your space, like I said you are goin to need extraction and intakes, the more fresh CO2 you get in their the more growth and yer plants will love you for it. You will also need an oscilating fan to move the CO2 around. Lets say you get a fan like this or simaler to this http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/SLTD160.html for that 1 outake fan you will need 4 passive intakes the same size as the outake 4". hope that helps m8.........
