Light cycles, Flowering, how does it work?

  1. Hello GC,

Im kinda confused about how light cycles and flowering works. If a person is growing outdoors will the plants not flower until the day light cycles start to get shorter?

So if I understand correctly, MJ planted in early spring would enter flowering the same time as one planted mid summer? It would just have less time to vegetate?

What about "auto-flowering" plants? Does this mean they flower by age and not current light cycle?

  2. You are right, I find my girls start to flower early August. They are detecting the days getting shorter.

  3. yea you got it figured out. and ya auto flowering plants go by age, they normaly start to bud 15-20 after sprouting.
